Fourteen teams share the lead after‍ firing rounds of 65, including Louis Oosthuizen and Christiaan Bezuidenhout, who have ⁣won three times ⁤as a team worldwide and finished fourth in this event last year.

“He ⁤kind of talked me into ‍hitting it,” Bezuidenhout said. “I was‍ like, `I might⁢ lay up ⁣here,’ because‍ if I‌ hit a good tee shot, I hit it pretty long. But he convinced me to hit it, and I was⁤ able to hit it on the green and hole ⁤it. So that was big.”

The field⁤ also ⁤includes some‍ of the ‍biggest names in the game, ⁣including Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry, who are two-time winners as a team, and Jon Rahm and Ryan⁣ Palmer, who won ⁤the event in 2021.

Rahm, who is the top-ranked player in the world, said he is excited to ⁣be back at⁤ the Zurich⁢ Classic.

“I really enjoy this event,” he said. “It’s a great way to prepare ⁢for the major championships, and it’s always a lot ⁤of fun‍ to play with a partner.”

It won’t ⁣be easy ‌to win, as there are a number of teams who are capable of contending for the ‍title.
