Tiger falters late in PGA Championship 1st round
Tiger Woods stammered on the back nine of his first round at the 2022 PGA Championship, dropping five shots over the course of four holes to finish the day at 4-over par 74. Woods had been near the top of the leaderboard for much of the front nine at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but his round unraveled shortly after making the turn. The 46-year-old opened with a birdie on the 10th hole, his first of the tournament, but followed immediately with a double bogey on No. 11 and a bogey on No. 12. He dropped another shot on No. 14 and made a quadruple bogey 8 on No. 15.
