TULSA, Okla. (KJRH) – The arraignment for world No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler has been delayed until June 3.

Scheffler was initially scheduled to be arraigned on a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication early Wednesday morning, but his arraignment was rescheduled due to a scheduling conflict with his tournament play in the PGA Championship at Southern Hills Country Club.

According to the arrest report, Scheffler was found “intoxicated” and “stumbling” outside a Dallas bar early Sunday morning. Officers said Scheffler admitted to consuming three beers while watching the NBA Playoffs that night.

Scheffler apologized for his actions in a statement released by the PGA Tour.
