Golfers seeking to maximize their drives should adjust their tee height based on club selection. A study by leading golf magazine “Golf Digest” found that the optimal tee height varies significantly depending on the club used.
For drivers, the recommended tee height is between 1.5 and 1.75 inches. This allows the ball to be struck at the optimal launch angle for maximum distance. For irons, a lower tee height of 0.5 to 1 inch is preferred to promote a penetrating ball flight and reduce spin.

The 3M Open has announced its broadcast schedule for the opening round of the 2024 tournament. The first round will be televised live on the Golf Channel from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM ET. In addition, the tournament will provide live streaming coverage of all four rounds on ESPN+ and the Golf Channel’s website.
