The Iroquois West boys and girls golf teams swept their respective divisions in the Iroquois County meets, held at their home course. Both teams showcased extraordinary skill and teamwork, breaking previous season records and securing top marks.
For the boys,the win marked their third consecutive championship.Ethan Miller, who led the team with the lowest score of the day, praised his teammates for their unwavering support and dedication. “This wouldn’t have been possible without the collective effort and determination of everyone on the team,” Miller said.
The girls team, led by captain Taylor Jones, claimed their fifth straight county title. Jones, who topped the individual rankings, highlighted the team’s mental toughness as the key to their success. “We stayed focused and composed under pressure, which really paid off,” she added.
