The Lincoln-Way East Trojans girls golf team recently clinched the Southwest Suburban Conference golf title, showcasing their unmatched skill and determination on the course. Each stroke counted as the team battled through tough competition to secure their victory.
Coach Chris Kozlowski highlighted the importance of meticulous planning and relentless practice. “We focused on every aspect of our game, from bunker shots to putting,” said Kozlowski.”Our goal was clear: to win the conference and move on to state.”
Sophomore standout Grace Rizzo emphasized the need to stay composed under pressure. “The final round was especially challenging, but we stayed focused and used our strengths,” Rizzo noted. “We knew every shot counted.”
Looking ahead, the Trojans are setting their sights higher. Senior captain Emily Brown shared, “This is just the beginning. We’re aiming for the state championships and won’t let anything stand in our way.” Their dedication and talent suggest that their aspirations are well within reach.
