A recent study reveals that nearly two-thirds of golf enthusiasts are beginning to experience “golf fatigue.” Conducted by the National Golf Foundation, the research highlights how an unending stream of tournaments and a lack of variety in top players’ schedules are causing disinterest.
“The golf calendar is just too packed,” lamented one fan. “I used to love watching golf, but now it feels overwhelming.”
Additionally, the study indicates that fans are drifting away from the sport due to a shortage of captivating storylines. “There’s just not much drama in golf anymore,” expressed another fan. “It’s always the same familiar faces winning familiar tournaments.”
In response to this growing issue, the PGA Tour is actively seeking solutions by introducing fresh events and innovative formats. However, only time will tell if these efforts will be sufficient to rekindle fan engagement
