U.K.’s Bland wins rain-delayed U.S. Senior Open

English professional golfer Richard Bland won the rain-delayed U.S. Senior Open at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on Sunday. Bland shot a final-round four-under 66 for a tournament total of six-under 274. He won by two strokes over American David Toms and Canadian Stephen Ames.

It was the first major championship victory for the 53-year-old Bland. He had previously won four events on the European Tour, including the 2021 Betfred British Masters.

Bland took the lead for good with a birdie on the par-four 14th hole. He then parred the final four holes to secure the victory.
