European Tour Returns to Turkey, Austria in 2025
The European Tour has announced its schedule for 2025, which includes two new tournaments in Turkey and Austria. The Turkish Airlines Open will be held at the Montgomerie Maxx Royal Belek from October 2-5, while the Austrian Open will take place at the Diamond Country Club from September 11-14.
The addition of these two events brings the total number of tournaments on the European Tour to 45, with events being held in 25 different countries. The 2025 season will begin in January with the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and will conclude with the DP World Tour Championship in November.
Els, Barron tied for lead at Regions Tradition
Ernie Els and Joey Barron carded 6-under 64s to share the first-round lead at the Regions Tradition at Greystone Golf and Country Club on Thursday.
Els, the 2012 champion, eagled the par-5 18th hole to grab a share of the lead. Barron, making his Regions Tradition debut, birdied three of his last four holes to join Els atop the leaderboard.
Former champions Steve Stricker (65), Retief Goosen (66) and Bernhard Langer (67) are among those within three shots of the lead.
The Regions Tradition is the second major championship of the PGA Tour Champions season.

The third round of the 2024 3M Open will be televised live on the Golf Channel from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM ET. In addition, the tournament will provide live streaming coverage of all four rounds on ESPN+ and the Golf Channel’s website.
The 3M Open is a PGA Tour event played at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota. The tournament was founded in 2019 and is one of the most popular events on the PGA Tour.
The field for the 2024 3M Open includes some of the biggest names in golf, including defending champion Tony Finau, Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Jon Rahm.
