**Cink Secures Top Spot in Season-Ending Champions Event**
Bernhard Langer, who trailed Cink by just one shot entering the final round, posted a commendable 4-under 68 in the last round but fell short of catching Cink to push for a playoff.
Cink, having triumphed in two of this season’s five playoff events, closed the week at 18-under 198, leading Langer by a single stroke.
Reflecting on his performance, Cink remarked, “It’s been a stellar year. I’ve maintained a high level of play throughout the season, showcasing consistency and granting myself numerous opportunities to emerge victorious. It’s truly satisfying to clinch a couple of wins and wrap up the year on a high note.”
This victory marks Cink’s first triumph since the 2009 Open Championship and his second win on the PGA Tour Champions this season.
For his achievement, Cink received $450,000 and ascended to the second position in the Charles Schwab Cup standings, with Langer retaining the top spot
British driver James Canter survived a three-way playoff to claim a dramatic victory at the Formula 2 title decider in Bahrain, securing his first triumph in the series. Canter, Kush Maini and Enzo Trulli went head-to-head for the title on Sunday, with all three drivers tied on points and fighting for victory in the final race. Despite a late safety car period, Canter held his nerve to take the win ahead of Maini and Trulli, the son of former Formula 1 driver Jarno Trulli.
