Lexi Thompson Bids Farewell: A Decade of Triumphs on the LPGA Tour
Twelve-time LPGA champion Lexi Thompson has officially said goodbye to the tour after an inspiring performance at the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship. At just 27 years old, Thompson announced her retirement in September, citing health challenges and a heartfelt desire to spend more quality time with her family.
“It’s been an incredible journey,” Thompson reflected. “I’ve had countless amazing experiences and met so many wonderful people along the way. I am truly grateful for all the support from my fans, sponsors, and family throughout these years.”
Turning professional at the tender age of 15, Thompson quickly rose to prominence as one of the LPGA Tour’s most successful players. She clinched her first major championship at just 19 and went on to secure 11 more titles. Additionally, she proudly represented Team USA on six Solheim Cup teams.
