This lifelong goal is why Rory McIlroy keeps grinding on the DP World Tour
Rory McIlroy has revealed that his lifelong goal of winning the Race to Dubai is what keeps him grinding on the DP World Tour.
The former world No. 1 has been in excellent form this season, winning three times and finishing in the top five in all but two of his 11 starts on the DP World Tour.
“It’s been a goal of mine for a long time to win the Race to Dubai,” McIlroy said. “I’ve come close a few times, but I’ve never quite been able to get over the line.
“But I’m determined to keep trying. I know it’s going to be tough, but I believe I have the game to do it.”
McIlroy currently leads the Race to Dubai standings by more than 1,000 points, and he will be the heavy favorite to win the title if he can maintain his current form.
