Veerman climbs from 5 back to win Nedbank title

Daniel Veerman fought back from five shots behind with a scorching final-round 65 to win the 2024 Nedbank Golf Challenge by one shot. The Dutchman fired eight birdies, including four in a row from the 12th hole, to overhaul overnight leader Wilco Nienaber at Sun City. Nienaber’s 72 saw him finish one stroke adrift, while Christiaan Bezuidenhout took third place with a 69. The win is Veerman’s second European Tour title and moves him up to 12th in the DP World Tour Rankings.

Joachim B. Hansen of Denmark shot a final-round 64 to win the Joburg Open on Sunday, earning his third European Tour title and moving into contention for a Ryder Cup debut this year.
