FSU Golf Star John Pak Joins LIV: A Bold Step in the Youth Movement!

LIV Golf signs FSU alum, continuing youth movement

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (FSU Athletics) – In an exciting development for the world of golf, Florida State men’s golf standout John Pak has officially signed with the LIV Golf Invitational Series this Tuesday afternoon.

Pak is now the third former Seminole to make his mark on LIV Golf, joining renowned players Brooks Koepka and Daniel Berger.

At just 24 years old, Pak has already made a name for himself with a stellar collegiate career at FSU, where he earned All-American honors twice and clinched the individual NCAA title in 2019.

Turning professional in 2020, he quickly found success on the Korn Ferry Tour with two victories under his belt. Additionally, Pak boasts two impressive top-10 finishes in PGA Tour events.

“I’m thrilled to join LIV Golf and compete against some of the best players in the world,” Pak expressed. “I truly believe in what LIV Golf represents and see it as the future of professional golf.”

LIV Golf is shaking up traditional golfing norms as a new tour backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. While it faces scrutiny over its human rights record, it has successfully attracted big names like Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, and Bryson DeChambeau.

Pak’s signing highlights a strategic move by LIV Golf to bring young talent into its fold. The tour is actively recruiting emerging stars and now features several top players under 30 years old.
