Due to ‘serious misconduct’ rules violation, pro disqualified from PGA Tour event
PGA Tour pro golfer Luke Kwon has been disqualified from a tournament due to a serious rules violation.
Kwon was penalized on the 10th hole of the third round of the Barbasol Championship after he was found to have deliberately bent a tee marker to improve his sightline.
He signed an incorrect scorecard at the end of his round, which incurs a penalty of disqualification under the PGA Tour rules.
Kwon will now miss the cut and will forfeit any potential prize money or FedEx Cup points.
