**Capture it: Xander Schauffele Wins PGA for First Major**
Xander Schauffele won his first PGA Championship on Sunday, overcoming 2018 champion Brooks Koepka by one stroke to capture his first major title.
“It’s an incredible feeling,” Schauffele said. “I’ve always dreamed of winning a major, and to finally achieve that is truly special.”
Schauffele’s victory was hard-fought, as he and Koepka were tied going into the final round. However, Schauffele separated himself with an eagle on the par-5 10th hole, and then with three birdies over the next four holes.
Schauffele was able to fend off a late charge from Koepka, who had two birdies on the back nine, but it wasn’t enough to catch Schauffele’s exceptional play.
