GB&I Surges Ahead in Curtis Cup

Great Britain & Ireland (GB&I) seized control on Day 2 of the Curtis Cup, building a 7-5 advantage over the United States (U.S.).

With inspired performances, GB&I dominated the morning foursomes matches, securing three points. The afternoon four-ball contests were more evenly contested, with each team winning a pair of matches.

Despite the deficit, the U.S. team remains determined. Led by Anna Davis and Rachel Heck, the Americans showed flashes of brilliance and will strive to claw back in the remaining matches.

The Curtis Cup, a biannual amateur golf tournament between the United States and GB&I, resumes tomorrow with the 12 concluding singles matches. GB&I aims to retain the trophy, while the U.S. seeks to regain it after a nine-year drought.
