Scott falters at U.S. Open qualifier; streak on line
Scottie Scheffler’s bid for a second consecutive major championship victory got off to a disappointing start Thursday at the Charles Schwab Challenge. The world No. 1 struggled to a 3-over-par 74 in the opening round at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. Scheffler, who won the Masters in April, is looking to become the first player to win the Masters and the Charles Schwab Challenge in the same year since Jordan Spieth in 2015.
