Despite shaky play, Kizzire widens lead at Procore
Despite consecutive rounds marred by mistakes, Tom Kizzire strengthened his lead at the Charles Schwab Challenge on Saturday, carding a one-under 70 at the Colonial Country Club. Despite finding the water four times throughout his round, driving inaccuracies, and putting woes, Kizzire leads the field by three strokes.
He ended the day on 12-under 200 and sits three ahead of Troy Merritt who shot a 69. World Number One Scottie Scheffler remains in contention following a 66 that placed him four off the pace. However, winds gusting up to 40 mph are expected on Sunday which will test the field’s mettle.
