Rahm (foot infection) withdraws from U.S. Open
World No. 1 Jon Rahm has withdrawn from the 2024 U.S. Open with a lingering foot infection. Rahm, who won the U.S. Open in 2021, has been dealing with the injury since early June. He attempted to rehab the injury and play through the pain, but he was unable to make a full recovery in time for the U.S. Open. This is the second major championship that Rahm has withdrawn from this year. He also missed the Masters in April with the same injury. Rahm is expected to make a full recovery and return to competition later this summer.
