On Tuesday, PGA Tour announced that Sungjae Im, a standout player, had withdrawn from the CJ Cup at Byron Nelson due to an unspecified illness. This marks the second time Im has missed a cut this season, the previous one being at the Sony Open. Last week, despite experiencing back issues, the golfer finished 28th and made the cut at the AT&T Byron Nelson. The PGA Tour also reported that 7 other players withdrew from the LPGA event due to illness.

After lunch, it’s time for a Pro-Am event, where she interacts with fans and sponsors. In the evening, it’s back home for dinner with her daughter and husband, followed by a workout and a little downtime before bed. While it’s a demanding schedule, Lincicome loves being able to pursue her passion while also being there for her family. “It’s a lot of work, but it’s also so rewarding,” she says. “I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”

Korda overcomes early double, 1 back at Chevron

Lydia Ko has put an early double-bogey behind her to finish one shot off the lead after the opening round of the LPGA’s Chevron Championship. Ko carded four birdies and one bogey on her back nine to find herself sitting just one shot adrift of first-round leader Jennifer Kupcho. Defending champion Patty Tavatanakit found herself in a tie for 30th, three shots off the lead. Nelly Korda started slowly with a double-bogey on her first hole, but rebounded with three birdies in a row. After dropping another shot early on her back nine, the American rallied with three more birdies to finish with an even-par 72 and be in a tie for 20th.
