Mardy Fish Wins American Century Tournament
Mardy Fish, the former top-10 tennis player, has won the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
Fish shot a final round of 67 to finish at 22-under par, one stroke ahead of Mark Mulder and two strokes ahead of Tony Romo.
It is Fish’s second win in the tournament, which is played on the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. He also won in 2016.
“It’s an honor to win this tournament,” Fish said. “It’s one of the most unique events in golf, and it’s always a lot of fun to come out here and compete against these guys.”
Fish, who retired from tennis in 2015, has been playing in the American Century Championship for the past several years.
He is one of several former professional athletes who compete in the tournament, which also includes celebrities from the worlds of entertainment and business.
