Dustin Johnson’s golf swing is characterized by its power and accuracy. His swing is a combination of speed, timing, and precision. Johnson’s backswing is relatively short and smooth, and his downswing is powerful and fluid. He makes excellent contact with the ball, and his follow-through is balanced and controlled. This study analyzed Johnson’s swing technique to provide insights for instructor development. Kinematic data were collected using a motion capture system to measure the key swing parameters. The results showed that Johnson’s swing is very consistent, and he is able to generate a great deal of clubhead speed without sacrificing accuracy. The study also revealed that Johnson makes a number of small adjustments to his swing depending on the situation, such as the lie of the ball and the wind conditions.
