Scottie Scheffler finds himself just three strokes off the lead after an exciting first round at the Hero World Challenge in the stunning Bahamas. The world No. 1 might have discovered a game-changer with his new putting grip.
After facing challenges on the greens for much of the year, Scheffler made a statement by sinking a remarkable 20-footer for birdie on his very first hole Thursday. He showcased several other promising opportunities for birdies throughout his round.
“I’m still trying to get used to it,” Scheffler shared about his new grip. “But I felt like I hit some really good putts today, and I made a few.”
