Rory closes with 65, wins record 4th Wells Fargo
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Rory McIlroy became the only four-time winner of the Wells Fargo Championship on Sunday, holing a 12-foot eagle putt on the par-5 15th for good measure in a closing 65 that gave him a two-shot victory over Matthew Fitzpatrick. McIlroy, 33, joined Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods as the only players with as many as three victories in the tournament that began in 2003 at Quail Hollow Club.
