Scott posts season-low 63 to take lead at BMW
Adam Scott seized a one-shot lead at the BMW Championship on Friday, firing a flawless eight-under-par 63 to seize control at Wilmington Country Club. The Australian, who won the Genesis Scottish Open in July, sank eight birdies in his second round to move to 12 under for the tournament. Scott, 42, holds a narrow edge over Americans Kurt Kitayama and Patrick Cantlay, who are tied for second on 11 under after both shooting rounds of 66. Defending champion Patrick Reed is among a group of five players lurking two shots off the pace after carding a seven-under-par 64.
