Choi captures elusive major, wins Senior Open

Jung-Ho Choi captured his long-awaited major victory at the Senior Open, overcoming early struggles to shoot a dazzling 4-under 66 and secure a one-stroke triumph at Gleneagles.

The 53-year-old Choi, the 2019 Senior Open champion, recovered from a shaky start with a birdie spree, rolling in four birdies in a row from the 5th hole onwards, including three on the back nine.

Despite a costly double bogey on the par-4 second, Choi’s resilience shone through, and he maintained a steady pace throughout the remainder of the tournament.

Choi’s victory marks his second senior major title and fourth senior win overall, cementing his place among the greats of the game.
