Golden Ko captures Women’s Open for 3rd major
Golden Ko has claimed her third career major championship, capturing the Women’s Open at Muirfield. The 26-year-old South Korean carded a final-round 67 to finish on 10 under par, two strokes ahead of England’s Charley Hull. Ko, who had previously won the ANA Inspiration and Evian Championship, becomes just the second player to win three different women’s majors before the age of 27. The victory is also the first for a South Korean player in the Women’s Open since Inbee Park in 2015.
