The talented Japanese golfer delivered a stellar performance with a remarkable 5-under 67 on Friday, securing a total of 14-under 130. His exceptional play puts him ahead by two shots, with Jazz Janewattananond of Thailand trailing closely after posting a solid 68. Meanwhile, the competition remains intense as American Sean Crocker and Japan’s Ryuko Tokimatsu are locked in a tie for third place at 11-under.

Wakimoto showcased his skill by birdying three of the initial four holes during Friday’s round.
