I shouldn’t feel like I’m a deer in the headlights. But I do.” Thomas attributed his nervousness to the absence of a cut, which he said removes the pressure to make birdies. “I’m probably thinking about it too much,” Thomas said. “But it’s a major. You’ve got to be ready to make birdies. I’m just trying to stay patient and hit good shots.”
