John Daly says home suffered ‘total loss and devastation’ from Hurricane Helene

PGA champion John Daly says his home was among those suffering “total loss and devastation” from Hurricane Helene, which brought flooding and heavy rainfall to Florida.

The golfer shared a video on social media showing the destruction wrought by the storm, saying that while his family was safe, the damage to their home and belongings was “devastating.”

“We are so grateful to be safe, but our home is gone,” Daly said. “We lost everything.”

Daly’s home is located in Palm Coast, Florida, one of the areas hardest hit by the hurricane.

Augusta National assessing damage after Helene

Augusta National Golf Club is assessing damage after Hurricane Helene swept through the area on Wednesday and Thursday. The storm brought high winds and heavy rain, which caused trees to fall and debris to accumulate around the course.

Club officials say it’s too early to tell the full extent of the damage, but they’re working to clear the wreckage and make repairs. The course is expected to reopen on Friday, but some areas may be closed off due to safety concerns.

The storm also caused damage to the nearby Augusta Municipal Golf Course, which is also owned by Augusta National. The course is expected to be closed for several days while repairs are made.
