3 lead after windy Day 1 at World Wide Technology
Day 1 of the World Wide Technology Championship ended with three players tied for the lead: Ryan Moore, Denny McCarthy, and Kramer Hickok. Strong winds made scoring difficult, with only 11 players finishing under par.
Moore, who is seeking his first PGA Tour win since 2019, shot a 2-under 68. Hickok and McCarthy both carded 1-under 69s.
Rickie Fowler, last year’s champion, is a shot back at even par. Among those also at 70 are defending FedExCup champion Patrick Cantlay and 2020 Masters winner Dustin Johnson.
