Round 2 of the 2024 World Wide Technology Championship will tee off on Friday, May 3rd at 7:00 AM CST. The second round will feature players grouped in threesomes based on their scores after the first round. The top 65 players and ties will advance to the weekend rounds.

Spieth and Scheffler Lead Morning Wave

Other notable names teeing off in the morning wave include defending champion Billy Horschel and world No. 5 Jon Rahm. Horschel, a former FedExCup champion, has played well at El Camaleon in the past, and he’ll be looking to climb the leaderboard when he plays alongside Rahm, a two-time major winner.
Afternoon Pairings Feature DeChambeau and Rahm
The afternoon wave at the World Wide Technology Championship on Friday will feature a marquee pairing of Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm. The two stars are both major champions and are among the most popular players on the PGA Tour.

Grillo and Hoge Open Second Round Play
Emiliano Grillo and Tom Hoge closed out the second round of the 2024 World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba with a solid performance. Grillo, fresh off his win at the Genesis Invitational two weeks ago, continued his strong play, carding a 3-under 68 to finish the day tied for 12th. Hoge, who has been in contention at several events this season, also shot a 68, moving up to a tie for 20th.

The third round of the tournament will be played on Saturday, February 10th. Grillo and Hoge will be looking to continue their climb up the leaderboard and challenge for the title.

All eyes will be on first-round leader J.T. Poston, who will tee off at 1:06 p.m. CT alongside Sepp Straka and Mito Pereira. Poston fired a 6-under 65 on Thursday to take a one-shot lead over a group of four players, including Keegan Bradley and Patrick Cantlay.
Cantlay, the defending champion, will be in the penultimate group of the day, teeing off at 1:18 p.m. CT with Justin Thomas and Jon Rahm. Thomas is a two-time winner of this event, while Rahm is the world’s top-ranked player.
