Myrlte Beach, S.C. – After three rounds at the 2023 Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship presented by Kiva, Gotterup has built a four-stroke lead over his fellow competitors. With scores of 66, 67, and 64, he sits at 15-under-par 198. Tied for second place are Ethan Gao and David Ford at 11-under-par 202.
Myrtle Beach is undergoing a major makeover, with a host of new renovations and improvements that aim to elevate the seaside destination further. Among the most notable upgrades are a new hotel tower at the iconic Breakers Resort, which will add 250 rooms and suites to the property when it opens in 2024. Additionally, the beachfront resort is undergoing a comprehensive redesign of its public spaces and amenities, which will include a new restaurant, pool deck, and lobby.
Further along the Grand Strand, the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort is also planning a significant expansion and renovation. MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Karsen Gotterup closed with four consecutive birdies to post a 4-under-par 67 Tuesday and take a one-shot lead into the final round of the Women’s South Carolina Golf Association Myrtle Beach Amateur Championship at Dunes Golf and Beach Club.
Gotterup, a senior at Charleston Southern University from Tega Cay, made three birdies on her front nine Tuesday to finish her first nine in 2-under 34. After a bogey at No. 10, Gotterup made birdie at Nos. 14, 15, 16 and 17.
